Isla Bites | A Tastes of the Islands
My home is called Saipan, an island a part of the Northern Mariana Islands. Cultures like mine struggle to preserve our identity in a world that overlooks marginalized communities. I want to carry my culture through food as a way to break through these cultural barriers and deepen our connection with others. My capstone seeks to celebrate these underrepresented cultures in the Pacific Islands through the blended flavors of Micronesia, bringing the wonders of our home to yours.
